Dr. Hurst is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry is a form of professional oral care that focuses on improving the condition and appearance of your teeth. While cosmetic procedures are typically elective rather than essential, some treatment cases also provide restorative benefits.

Bonding

Composite is used to ideally shape teeth to their perfect color and shape. Usually very little tooth structure is removed. This is a very time-intensive procedure but the result is a near-perfect smile.

Crowns & Bridges

With tens of thousands of porcelain crowns and bridges performed, Dr. Hurst will prepare them to last a long time and look the very best possible. He uses the latest scanning technology to copy the preparations and send it to reliable labs. Katana porcelain and E-Max porcelain are the preferred choice, as the crowns mimic nature better than ever before. Cements are then used that are time-tested and the crowns are prepared internally to create the greatest seal possible. This assures the longevity of the crown.

Fillings

Dr. Hurst has placed tens of thousands of fillings over his career. He knows what looks good and works. He uses several types of white composite material that will preserve your smile. You will not be able to tell that you have fillings in your teeth. Special bonding agents and sealers are used to assure that the tooth is not sensitive and will last many years.

Veneers

Veneers produce the same results as bonding, but in this case, porcelain is used to perfect the teeth. Tooth preparation is usually required and the veneers are produced in a lab. Porcelain veneers are a longer-lasting choice where the patient doesn't mind having their teeth prepared.

Whitening

Many things cause our teeth to become darker, such as tobacco, coffee, tea, and even medications. However, with our whitening options, you can achieve the smile of your dreams quickly and comfortably! At NuSmyle we offer two whitening solutions: (1) bleach trays filled with bleaching agents and (2) a system using a light and very strong bleach applied by an assistant. The latter takes about two hours. In many cases patients do both whitening solutions.
